It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of our friend and colleague, Professor David Hughes.
David was an integral part of our Executive Programs from their inception in 1998, bringing his remarkable knowledge, insight, energy and generosity to generations of industry leaders. Over the years, his involvement extended across our programs in fresh produce, meat, food and grocery, seafood and wine, reflecting both the breadth of his expertise and the enormous respect he commanded across all these industries.
David leaves an extraordinary legacy through the countless people he inspired along the way. He always brought such warmth and kindness to everyone he met. We all learned so much from David, and he was simply an amazing human being – humble, intelligent, insightful, funny and endlessly curious. He travelled the world, embraced life and did what he loved.
On the programs, David gave so much guidance and support, always accompanied by countless stories and funny anecdotes. He was a wonderful mentor and colleague to us all at Streamwise Learning and across the Executive Programs team.
We are immensely grateful for all the years of wisdom, enthusiasm, dedication and friendship David shared with us. We extend our deepest condolences to Susan, Blake, Garth, Mabel and all of David’s family and friends around the world.
Vale David. You will be greatly missed.
